We’ve added a bunch of new tracks to the site this week. Here’s the list:
O Sacred Head Now Wounded (Easter/Lent Hymn)
Famous One (Chris Tomlin)
Oseh Shalom (popular traditional Jewish prayer for peace)
Holy, Holy, Holy (traditional Hymn)
Let My People Go (traditional Jewish spiritual for Passover)
Were You There (hymn for Easter) + guide vocal
For All The Saints (traditional hymn) + guide vocal
Do You Hear What I Hear guide vocal
More are on their way. Keep the suggestions rolling!
Since we launched the site in May, we’ve been working diligently to fill Spiritrax with content. A lot of the latest stuff has come from suggestions and our need to be prepared for the holiday season. We know a lot of you are looking for popular contemporary praise and worship songs, and we’re getting on that as fast as we can. Ultimately, it comes down to which songs we can do with the least amount of licensing expense, as popular tunes by artists like the Newsboys, Sara Groves, Avalon, and Tim Hughes all come with a pretty hefty price tag. But here’s what we’ve posted so far:
S’vivon - the Hebrew dreidle song for Chanukah
My Heart Goes Out - by Warren Barfield
O Christmas Tree
Be Thou My Vision
Oh Chanukah
Oh Holy Night
Go Tell It On The Mountain (with a cool funky groove)
A Mighty Fortress Is Our God
Here I Am To Worship (by Tim Hughes)
How Great Thou Art
Songs from Handel’s Messiah
Beautiful Savior
The Four Questions (for passover)
Amazing Grace
My Country Tis of Thee
Oh For A Thousand Tongues To Sing
Lift Every Voice and Sing
O Come O Come Emmanuel
Joy Joy Joy
and a few others…
We know that most of these don’t have guide vocals yet, but they are coming soon. We’re working with some pretty talented singers to get these recorded for you so that you can learn the songs easier.
We also noticed that there was a quirky preview problem keeping pages from loading and previews from playing properly, so we swapped out for a different style of preview player that seems to work a lot better. This should make surfing the site a whole lot easier.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
One Light Music breaks down religious barriers with Spiritrax.com website launch
SCOTTSDALE, AZ – One Light Music Productions, Inc, a privately held music and media production and licensing firm, announced the launch of the Spiritrax.com website today. Building off the company’s expertise in karaoke and theatrical music production, Spiritrax.com provides instant music downloads of karaoke backing tracks and instrumental music tailored specifically for worship and meditation.
The Spiritrax.com repertoire is not limited to a single religious sect or genre, however. The site launched with over 20 categories and genres of worship music from around the globe, including popular Christian hymns, Jewish prayer songs, Islamic music, and even extended instrumental tracks for Buddhist and yoga meditation.
End-users can preview and download tracks in any key, accommodating for differences in singers’ vocal ranges, abilities, and comfort levels. Most downloads on Spiritrax.com are also bundled with a vocal guide track that allows the singer to hear how the music is supposed to be performed, as well as a printable lead sheet with chords and melody for rehearsal and performance purposes.
Additionally, Spiritrax.com boasts a track customization tool, allowing visitors to adapt any given track in the Spiritrax library to their individual needs by changing song structure, tempos, even instruments. “The customization features on Spiritrax.com help to add a personal level to worship that’s missing in many places,” says One Light Music CEO and Spiritrax.com founder David Negron. “It also makes Spiritrax a great tool for worship directors and teachers who need flexibility in their music collection.”
For multimedia enthusiasts and producers, Spiritrax.com also offers royalty free synchronization licensing for most of its tracks, allowing visitors to use the music in DVDs, promotional videos and commercials, films, and multimedia presentations.
“I believe strongly in the unifying properties of music,” Negron says. “If you take two people from different corners of the world they would have sharply contrasting viewpoints socially, politically, and religiously. But one of the things they would have in common is a love for good music. Even if two people can’t reach an agreement diplomatically, both can find comfort, hope, and joy in a good song. And that’s the type of message that needs to be spread regardless of race and faith, and it’s the underlying principle behind Spiritrax.com.”
